Reabilita an independent company based in Lisbon delivering innovative real estate solutions

Amidst hotels serving continental breakfasts, restaurants with their standard executive menus, and glass towers hosting endless meetings, stands a modest little palace, stubbornly and unmistakably portuguese. One of those buildings that makes you feel as if you’ve stepped into a Pixar film, except you’re right in the heart of Lisbon. Next to it sits its twin, still awaiting rehabilitation, and as with all twins, they may look the same on the outside, but inside they couldn’t be more different.

This was the first Reabilita project not created to become a home, but to host offices, shops of every shape and kind, and those famous boutiques that always come in handy when you want to stretch out your lunch break. Rehabilitation was needed: the carpentry was refined, the plaster ceilings restored, and every detail was given extra care. And because fresh air is essential even in the city center, a sunny courtyard at the back invites long lunches with plastic plates - or toasting with flutes of that bottle of champagne that’s been waiting to be opened for years.

The Mouzinho da Silveira project blends a 19th-century bourgeois façade with interiors carefully restored and reimagined for today’s fast-paced world. With its refurbished carpentry, original flooring, and decorative ceilings, the building preserves the nobility of its origins. The courtyard is the perfect spot both for a well- deserved break in the middle of the workday and for turning dull meetings into sunlit conversations.
