We know that every building in Alfama has seen far more than we ever will. This one is no exception. It’s hard to find the time to listen to all the stories its blue façade has to tell. With the distant sound of guitars, and the wind brushing against the laundry lines and wooden shutters, every corridor reminds us of the celebrations that fill this city. The rounded corners and the natural light falling across the walls and staircases invite us to share in this centuries-old atmosphere. The building invites us to notice the small differences between yesterday and today, and to experience Lisbon as it deserves to be felt.
João da Praça is a 19th-century building. With eleven apartments, a restored façade, and balconies that combine historic elegance with views over the Tagus River. Spacious interiors and generous ceiling heights give each room the freedom to be personalized, making it easy to adapt the space to its owner’s lifestyle.
