On the way to Murches, the pine trees and forest floor begin to take over the landscape. It is here, between the hills and the sea, that six homes are taking shape, each surrounded by a garden large enough to let life unfold.
Designed for families and everything that comes with them, these are homes with room for long breakfasts, friends who stay for dinner, and children coming and going without knocking.
The living rooms, almost like timber pavilions, open out onto each garden and its pool, bringing indoors and outdoors together. With plenty of greenery around, there is space simply to be. Each home has four bedrooms, a three-car garage, and plenty — really, plenty — of space for bikes, surfboards, toys, boxes, and everything else that tends to accumulate over a lifetime.
The materials have been chosen to last and age well, growing with the house and the people who live in it over the years. Natural light comes in from every direction, the hills can be felt in the air, and the sea is still close enough to be part of everyday life.
These are homes designed to grow with a family, and to be lived in without too much ceremony.
