This building fits in the original design of Areeiro's neighborhood, and it marks the era and architectural current of "Estado Novo", which became known as "Soft Portuguese". The rehabilitation of this residential building seeked to preserve the original and characteristic constructive features of the time, updating its interior layout and requests for energy efficiency to the contemporary demands, intending to distinguish itself from the offer in this area of ​​the city. This building and project is part of the Sharing Cities*, which means that solutions geared towards energy efficiency and sustainability were implemented.

Project and development

  • The rehabilitation works of the building started in August 2018 and ended in the begining of 2020;
  • The architectural project included works to preserve the façade, reconstruction of the roof with the integration of solar photovoltaic panels, replacement of the existing frames, alteration of the apartments with enlargement of the basement and fifth floor, as well as renovation of the building infrastructure networks;
  • The apartments were fully rehabilitated until finishing, and sold turn-key.
